President Joe Biden is holding a conference Wednesday at the White Property with Kenneth Frazier, chairman and CEO of Merck, and Alex Gorsky, chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson.

Before Wednesday, the Biden administration announced that it designs to buy 100 million additional doses of J&J’s Covid-19 vaccine. The deal would double the nation’s source of the J&J vaccine as the corporation currently has a deal with the govt to supply 100 million doses by the stop of June.

Final 7 days, Biden announced that Merck would help make J&J’s Covid vaccine. Beneath the arrangement, Merck will dedicate two services in the U.S. to make the doses. Just one will make the vaccine and the other will provide “fill-complete” solutions, when the vaccine is placed in vials.
